Erp Jacket and lay plan

As I only have a minimal amount of wool left to make this jacket I have had to do my lay plans very carefully to get the most out of it, as it is quite expensive. I have done my toile, and had to make some alterations to my pattern pieces but nothing too major. I am struggling to decide what to do about my shoulder pad situation. At first I was toying about whether to put a shoulder pad in or not, but decided it was necessary, I tried to put it at the edge of the extended shoulder but this did not look right due to having a facing and no sleeve, so i put it further back but it was too bulky. I have settled on using a light shoulder pad in an usual part of the should but not going through to the extension as I believe the silhouette shape is much better aesthetically.

Lab equipment print ideas

Repeat, blocked, i think this is a bit too block like...

I much prefer the half drop repeat. i love simple liner imagery so do like this print, although i do feel it is a bit too 'high-street' to be used with my collection and the original periodic table print is better suited.

Apprentice Brief

Today we were given an external/live brief to complete by the 7th December. This is a competition set by a new company wa.oven (with the letter swedish letter a, which sounds like o) and they want us to design some key pieces that will fit to their new fashion label, which primarily works with denim, I haven't worked with denim before and isn't something I normally choose to work with so I think this will be quite a challenge but I am excited to get started and see what I can come up with, here are some mood-boards I have put together for some inspiration.
